“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge him,
And he will make your paths straight.”
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge him,
And he will make your paths straight.”
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
To trust = confiar.
This little word holds such a deep meaning....
Today is the first day back at ASU. I am excited and nauseated, I cannot wait to learn!!! and yet I feel my brain is too full of information already. I love the classes that I am taking this semester yet, I don't want to spend my nights high on coffee while cramming lots of information. I keep doubting my strength, and then feel discouraged... and this is when I remember that I CANNOT do it on my own. This is when I remember that God is here to help us through our everyday challenges. This is the time where Trusting in God makes a big difference. It allows me to enjoy my classes without having to carry the load of stress on my shoulders. It allows me to sleep at night, knowing that God is here to take care of things.
Just like at a restaurant we trust that the waiter will bring what we ordered in a few minutes, and so we are able to sit back, relax and enjoy our talk with friends because we believe that our food will be here (it is good as done).
Trusting God doesn't mean "hoping" that God will do the things we need Him to do. Trusting God means trusting Him with everything and BELIEVING that He has done it already, considering that our requests are good as done! We just have to wait a little bit- just like at the restaurant we have to wait a little bit for our food. This waiting period allows us to anticipate and reflect on our blessings... and it allows us to fully enjoy and appreciate what we have. So TRUST in the Lord with ALL you heart- and lean not in your own understanding!
Many Hugs,
D.
PS- I am ready for school now.
