Letting go of the hairbrush.

Something happened today that made me see that holding on to objects with no reason is absurd...
If you have four hair dryers, or 20 extra brushes, or 6 pillows, why not give one to someone in need.? What happens if you only have one?
One very special hairbrush, but you have not brushed your hair in over a year... and one day someone comes in need of a hairbrush... would you let that person borrow your hairbrush!?!?!! I would!
I know this example is very retarded.. but it makes my point come across.... Every material object is temporary... nothing will last forever, and if you are not using your "hairbrush" then, why not let others use it? It does not matter if the other person has curly hair, red hair, black hair, blond hair, what matters is what is underneath... the brain, the heart... the soul...
Don't let others borrow the "hairbrush" just to show off to others that you can do good deeds too.. or to boost your ego, or to feel proud, and powerful.
Doing something good consciously is not that gratifying when compared to doing something, that is helping others but you do not know that...
why are humans so stubborn, and selfish? thinking that without that one "hairbrush" you cannot be happy, or your life will not be satisfied? Why do humans get themselves tangled with invisible ropes? Let go, and you'll understand freedom... just let go of those silly objects.... just let go.
